1. Introduction

By placing your order on our online shop, you attest having read, understood and accepted the following terms and conditions. A contract is concluded between you (the customer) and Mfato Made of Kitenge (We/Made of Kitenge) when you place your order. From this moment on, no changes can be made to your order. You will receive a written confirmation by e-mail.

2. Availability of products

We strive to ensure the availability of all products displayed on our website. However, unavailable products may be displayed in our shop due to technical issues or human errors. Should this be the case for your order, we will inform you as soon as possible and issue a refund within 30 days.

3. Payment

You can pay for your order by using your credit card, Klarna or Paypal.

4. Delivery

We deliver throughout Switzerland. Items are generally shipped within 3 to 5 business days after payment confirmation. The standard delivery method is the Swiss postal service.

5. Delivery time

Delivery time is usually of 5 to 7 business days for shipments within Switzerland. Pre-orders and personalized items have a longer delivery time, which can vary depending on the time of order and production. The expected delivery date can be found in the respective product description.

6. Delivery fees

Standard deliveries within Switzerland cost CHF 5.90. Delivery is free of charge for orders totaling CHF 100.- or more.

We reserve the right to modify delivery fees and conditions at any time, without notice.

7. Delivery delays

In the case of non-receipt of your order after ordinary time of delivery, please contact us using the contact form on our website or send us an email at hello@madeofkitenge.com to be informed about the status of your order. Please mention your name, your address and your order number. Without this information, we will not be able to process your request.

8. Returns, exchanges and defects

Items purchased on our online store can be returned within 14 days after you receive your order. All returned items must reach us within this period. In order to return an item, contact us via email at hello@madeofkitenge.com to request a return form, stating your name, your address and your order number. Then print and fill out the form, pack your items securely and send them back to the indicated address. Return fees are at the expense of the customer. The customer is responsible for the conveyance of the item until it reaches us. We decline all responsibility in case of loss and recommend using a delivery service with traceability of the parcel. Please note that personalized products can not be returned.

In the case of a defective product, please contact us as soon as you notice the defect. Please report the fault using the contact form on our website or send us an email at hello@madeofkitenge.com. Please mention your name, your order number and a detailed description of the problem. It will also be necessary to provide us with a picture clearly showing the defect. Defects which are due to normal wear and tear over time or which result from an inappropriate use of the product will not be considered. Please do not return items without having contacted us beforehand and received a response from our side.

Please note: Our products are handmade. Small differences in measurement and finish from one item to another are normal. Please do not return your faulty item until you have contacted us and received a reply from us, asking you to send it back.

9. Refunds

In the case of a return, we will issue a refund within 30 days after we receive the items. Delivery fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.

In the case of a defective product we reserve the right to issue a refund, an exchange or a repair of the product. In the case of a refund, the amount equivalent to the sales price (at the moment of the order) of the item will be credited to the customer within a period of 30 days upon reception of the returned item.

10. Gift Cards

Made of Kitenge offers electronic gift cards that can be used to pay for orders. Gift cards can be purchased up to an amount of CHF 500 and can be used without a time limit. When a gift card is purchased, the customer or a recipient of their choice receives an individual code by e-mail. To redeem the card, the recipient goes to the Made of Kitenge website and selects what they would like to buy. At checkout, they select the „Redeem a gift card" option and enter the unique code from their gift card. If the sale price exceeds the value of the card, the customer can pay the remaining cost using the usual payment methods. It is not possible to refund the purchase of a gift card or to combine several gift cards.

11. Final clause

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time, without notice. The Terms and Conditions of Sale at the time of the placement of the order shall apply for the ordered items.

 

Any dispute of any sort will be governed by the applicable Swiss law. Any action seeking legal or equitable relief will be brought in the courts of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. These Terms and Conditions of Sale are translated in various languages. The French version is applicable.
