MADE OF KITENGE
The idea of Made of Kitenge was born in Dar es Salaam when I was on exchange at a local university. Through friends, I met Msafiri, a young designer and tailor who regularly made clothes and accessories for exchange students. All of these pieces had one eye catcher: the colourful fabrics known as Kitenge which are typical in East Africa. The online store is a big step for us as it will allow us to extend our reach and spread our enthusiasm for Kitenge even further. Our customers are people who share our passion for great quality and unique designs that truly make them stand out. From now on, we will be able to deliver this experience to them wherever they are!
